(serves 10)
Ingredients
Stir the strawberries, lemonade concentrate, rose wine, and pineapple juice in a punch bowl until combined. Stir in the ginger ale just before serving. Serve over crushed ice and add a fresh strawberry as garnish.
My summer reading pick:
A Rogue By Any Other Name by Sarah MacLean
I have been devouring Sarah MacLean's historical romances. I love that the woman are strong and feisty. Of course all the men are completely swoon worthy! I am saving this to read on vacation this summer and cannot wait.
I love the cover and the dress matches my drink perfectly!

Wow, that sangria looks tasty :D I'm afraid I wasn't so bold and picked... a cappuccino.

Thanks for sponsoring such a fun challenge!
** FYI incorporating pics + 3 pages open are killer. I thought dial-up modems were outdated until I moved. Highspeed is concentrated in cities! Since countries are 90% small towns; more dial-up than we realize.... Couldn't see how to get pics in comment box so am adding an URL. Technical info over. **
I'd be very glad to win a $10.00 Book Depository treat. After 2 hours of fiddling and getting really hungry in the process, please find my 4:00PM contest entry here! :) http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2012/06/20/future-book-beverage-challenge/

Haha.... so, yeah, you know me and mixing drinks. I've been drinking mango daiquiris lately, but don't make them myself. So here are the recipes for the one that I *think* sounds good...
Ingredients
1 Mango, Ripe, coarsely chopped.
1/4 Cup pineapple juice
1/2 Cup light rum
3 Cups ice cubes
2 tbs fresh lime juice
2 tbs fine sugar
Preparation
Put mango, lime juice, pineapple juice and sugar in blender and blend till smooth.
Add rum into this mix and blend again.
Now add ice cubes into the puree and blend again till smooth.
Pour this slush into glasses and serve.
Mmmmmm.....
I present the Lemon Cherry Zoom:

Oh my.
This makes me want to go buy a blender.
I'm a horrible cook and I rarely drink much besides Coke, but I submit my purely slapdash homemade recipe for iced coffee. I have a gigantic 42 oz. mug from Home Depot, toss in about ten ice cubes, about a half pot of cold coffee, 1/4 cup of Cinnabon creamer and 1/2 cup of light soy milk. Add more coffee or soy milk to taste. Prepare to bounce off of the walls.
One of my most anticipated summer reads is Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost - I love the Night Huntress series and I'm really excited that Vlad is getting his own spinoff!
mine's a ice cream soda lol

The pretty in pink sangria looks SO good! Y'know, just minus the alcohol, haha. ;) I hope you're kicking book-butt in this read-a-thon, Kimba! :D Happy reading.
Interesting challenge! I'm afraid I wasn't too bold on my choice of beverage, but somehow books and coffee are forever linked in my mind. Here's my Tricolored Coffee.
Awesome challenge, Kimba! :)

I really like this challenge, there are some delicious recipes to try out! Your drink looks so refreshing. I chose a Mudslide. x)
http://books.lollibean.net/wicked-wildfire-read-a-thon-day-1/
Awesome drink recipe! I'm always intimidated by sangria. On one hand, it's supposed to be easy, right? It's just fruit thrown in on wine and let it sit. But since I suck at cooking, I'd probably mess it up. Having this super easy recipe that sounds soooooo delicious, I couldn't fail!!! Thanks!!!
Here's where my recipe is, on my WWRAT post page
thanks for hosting the great challenge and giveaway!!
My answer is here: http://booktravels.blogspot.com.br/2012/06/wicked-wildfire-read-thon.html
I can never resist Pina Colada! I get my husband to mix it though and I can't seem to find the right mix online! So, whilst I can't tell you the proportions, I can tell you the ingredients: Midori, Malibu, thickend cream, pineapple juice, and crushed ice - so place them in blender / cocktail shaker - YUM! Sweet & tropical!
For the Summer release, I'm looking forward to Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness because I'm currently reading A Discovery of Witches (book 1) and am in love... *sighs*
Hi, I am in the Read-a-thon, and did your challenge, here is my link for my WWReadathon post with my challenges in it , and will have updates too. :)

I have no idea what this is called, but I've been making it for a long time. It's super simple.
Frozen orange juice
Milk
Put a few tablespoons of frozen orange juice in the blender, add as much milk as you want, and blend. I don't ever measure.

What a great challenge! Thanks for the fun. Here's mine: http://thetruebookaddict.blogspot.com/2012/06/wicked-wildfire-read-thon-starting-line.html It's in my read-a-thon starting line and update post.
That sounds yummy. (I just turned 20 yesterday, so I guess I'll be waiting another year to try this. ;)) I've only read Sarah's young-adult historical fiction THE SEASON, but I've been dying to read her Adult ones. Will definitely get on that soon!
Here is my post for this challenge. (http://vintagebookworm.blogspot.com/2012/06/wicked-wildfire-read-thon-challenge.html)
Yum! Here's mine: http://writingcrazyme.blogspot.com/2012/06/wicked-wildfire-mini-challenge-2.html
Go lemonade!
Strawberry smoothie (serving depends on how much milk you pour in)- I don't have specific measurements because I'm used to just eyeballing it.
Get strawberries, cut the green part off, wash them, and put them into a blender. Next, get the milk out and pour it in. Make sure that the level of the milk is lower than strawberries (you don't want it to overflow!). Ice is optional. After, put the top on and turn on the blender (keep it going for a while if you don't want chunks of strawberry in your drink). Open the top, and taste it with a spoon. If it isn't sweet enough, get some sugar and dump in it. And TADA~ here's your smoothie!
My most anticipated summer release is Nevermore by James Patterson! I love the Maximum Ride series.
My favourite non-alcoholic drink has to be a cuppa tea with milk. As for alcoholic and summer drinks, Martini Pour Elle gets my vote! It's a fruity cocktail and I LOVE it! All you need is the following:
5 cl Martini Bianco
2 cl passion fruit puree
1 cl strawberry syrup
1 cl lime or orange juice
You put all these ingredients in a cocktail shaker, mix them together and voilá. :)
As for the book, I'm DYING to read the new Meg Cabot book, Size 12 and Ready to Rock. I've read the entire series and I love it. <3
REAL SOUTHERN SWEET TEA is my favorite Summer Time Drink-

I've never tried a Pretty in Pink Sangria but it sounds yummy. Here's mine http://drpepperdiva.wordpress.com/2012/06/21/wicked-wildfire-read-a-thon-challenge-slake-your-thirst/
I want to make your sangria but I can't use the ginger ale (allergic), what could I replace it with?
Thank you, Kimba!!
