Guest Post

 My Favorite Christmas memory.

Hey Everyone!!
The other day I got to thinking about Christmas memories – I actually had to stop and think about it my favorite one. Not that I don’t have a ton of great memories but my most recent memories are of shopping for my kids til I drop, cleaning up sprinkles and icing after we all make cookie (fun – but messy) and spending a whole weekend decorating and hauling Rubbermaid bins from the garage. Lol. But then I thought about when I was younger and a certain memory really made me smile. I think it IS my favorite holiday memory and strangely it isn’t a memory from Christmas day.
When I was younger – in fact all through my childhood – we always had a real Christmas tree. It was a tradition – one I never ever intended to break… but then I had kids and it turns out my daughter suffers from Christmas Tree Asthma – and NO I am not kidding, its real. LOL. When she was three we bought a huge beautiful tree and brought it home, strung the lights and hung the ornaments… and the asthma attacks began. Her allergy doctor confirmed it… and the tree went out into the yard. Lol. There won’t be another real tree in my house for a long time. But that’s okay because the false tree we found is absolutely beautiful and I appreciate the pre strung lights. Lol. Here is a picture of what our tree usually looks like every year:

Cambria Hebert is an author who wrote her first book at the age of fifteen. It was terrible. But the passion for writing never went away so years later when she opened her laptop and started typing she worked until she wrote a book – Masquerade - that she hopes everyone will be as excited about as she is. Cambria is obsessed with werewolves and is terrified of chickens (they are creepy!) She is an animal lover that would choose coffee over food and her favorite TV show is the Vampire Diaries (Hell-O Damon!) When she isn’t writing you can find her stalking the young adult aisles at Barnes and Noble.
Tirade the newest book in the Heven and Hell Series

Tirade
by Cambria Hebert
Series: Heven and Hell #3
Publication date: November 30, 2012
Genre: YA paranormal

Betrayal burns. Death hurts and the clock ticks…
Minutes and hours stretch into days. How long can Sam survive being confined in Hell? I have a plan… a plan with a lot of holes. I need someone who can make up for my weaknesses, someone who possesses the power that I lack. Riley is supposed to be off limits. He’s dangerous, he’s mean and he’s not to be trusted. But I do.
Beelzebub is on a tirade, bent on revenge. I took what he wants and sent him into the flames. I will wear the scars of his punishments forever. But scars don’t scare me anymore.
On my way to free Sam I find my true path, a secret place and new allies. But in Hell nothing is easy… and everything is cruel. The only thing left to do is survive.

your Christmas sounds like mine! We make gingerbread and sugar cookies (I have more cookie cutters than should ever be allowed) and have fun decorating...very messy indeed! I love putting up colored lights outside, shopping for the kids... not so much now as one in 17 and her gifts usually come in the form of money but I do have an 112 daughter I can shop for. thanks!

I can have a real tree either, I do the same time thing. I break out in hives and the asthma attacks suck, but I do love our fake tree though.. :-)
I so want this series too.. Thanks for sharing

I always had a real tree as a kid too. My husband is also allergic so we have to fake one now. I miss the smell of pine, but it sure is nice to have the lights built in!

I am loving this tour with all of the fun guest posts by Cambria! She is awesome and so is her series, I just love it.
That is crazy her daughter has an allergy to Christmas trees but at least there are some gorgeous fakes ones out now that you can hardly even tell aren't real.

Sometimes I think a false tree looks better than a real one. ;) Great post! It reminds me that I still haven't got the decorations out yet! Eeek!

Cambria, your tree is beautiful. I always say that I am going to put up a real tree next year, but when the holicays approach, I get anxious to get things done and know that there is not way that I can put up a real tree so early. We have allergy sufferers too, so maybe it wouldn't work for us either.

Christmas tree asthma? Oh, noes! Then again, I'm glad you found a way around it and the tree on the pic looks fabulous. I'm all about Christmas spirit, it's the only holiday that truly makes me happy, and my kid barely even notices it. :)) Maybe when she's older.
Lovely post, ladies!
