My Vacation ~pics and stuff

First, I want to thank all of you for supporting my blog while I was away. How delightful it was to return home and find your comments and tweets. We had an awesome time and I am slowly catching up.
For those who weren't aware, I was on vacation from June 30 to July 17. My family and I traveled to New Jersey, spent time at my brother-in-laws and then went on a 10 day 9 Night Bermuda/Caribbean Cruise with close to thirty family members. All of this was made possible by my fabulous in-laws who sponsored the trip.
We visited the port of Kings Wharf, Bermuda where my hubby and I took a bus tour of the island while my children went on a catamaran snorkel expedition. In St. Martin, we went on a snuba-snorkel excursion. This was neat, it's where you wear a regulator hooked to a tube that is connected to an oxygen tank on a raft above you. It allows you to experience scuba diving without being certified. This chick will not be getting certified. I am claustrophobic and had no idea, that being under water would make me feel trapped. I went down and after a few moments had to return to the surface, where I snorkeled and floated on a raft. My kids did awesome, but the hubby and I will not be doing it again! In San Juan we explored the city, saw a fort and shopped till we dropped. Labadee Haiti was awesome. We sat in beach chairs, swam in the crystal clear waters and yes..i did the zip-line. This is the longest zip-line over water and it was friggin amazing. On the ship we wined and dined, swam in the pool, watched a cool ice show and had a wonderful time with our family. Of course while in NJ, we ate our fair share of soft pretzels and enjoyed some of our favorite foods; meatball parms and Philly cheese steaks, NJ silver queen corn and tomatoes..yum! After that and the cruise..we never want to look at food again!
I did manage to read 3 books on my list while on vacation and those reviews will post soon.
Here are a few pictures of our vacation:

Our Family! My hubby, his brother and two sisters and all of their families along with my wonderful amazing in-laws :)

Ha..we took these pics in Bermuda, as Dr. Who fans we couldn't resist!

Balcony shot of  the port of St. Martin -the water was so blue it was incredible!

Deck 11 and the pools
In the afternoon the Reggea band was rocking and the tropical drinks were fabulous!

Elevators inside the shop and decks on each floor that over-looked the promenade deck

Open 24 hrs a day with the yummiest sesame granola bars I have ever eaten!

The ships library..located on my floor..people donate or leave books!

A very sexy young bartender's butt who we nicknamed "Shots" and shamelessly took pics of !!!

I am delighted to be home, but truly miss just getting dressed for dinner and leaving the dishes for someone else. I miss my room steward but most of all I miss our family. It was so much fun connecting with them all again. When we got home, my kids decided we should do this again. My youngest said, "Yeah, when you're Mommom and Poppop's age you can take us and our families on a cruise!"
So much for early retirement..lol!

Great pics and commentary about your trip. What ship were you on? I think that is the one that we were on this past March. (Royal Caribbean, Voyager of the Seas)

Thanks also for the shout out for Valerie's shirts, I am so glad that you liked them.

It looks like a fantastic time! Good for you for zip lining, I won't ever be doing it. Not with my fear of open heights. But that scuba experience, I could go for that. :) I'm glad you had such a good time. Your in-laws were so nice!

It's good to have you back.
