The Sunday Post ~sharing blog news and books

The Sunday Post ~ 15th Edition
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Hello my caffeinated, book loving peeps! The coffee is fresh so grab a cup. I have been busy planning fun events for the month of October. My reviews for the month will all feature "Things that Go Bump in the Night." So be on the look out for horror, paranormal everything and some thriller/mysteries. To kick off the event I will be hosting my first read-a-thon called Fraterfest. Have a great week and be sure and visit some of the blogs linked below.

Last week on the Blog I brought you:
This week on the blog look for:
  • Burn by Heath Gibson (review)
  • Innocent Darkness by Suzanne Lazear ( release day review)
  • Waiting on Wednesday -2 awesome picks!
  • Skylark by Meagan Spooner (review)
  • Livrada ~ the perfect gift for book lovers on your list (review)
  • Candid by Michelle Pennington  (excerpt)

Books I Received for Review:

I received a beautiful, signed, finished copy of
The King's Agent from author Donna Russo Morin

I received a new type of gift card from the company
Livrada and it's actually good for an eBook of Gone Girl from
B&N or Amazon. I will be reviewing this new concept later this week.

Won or Was Gifted:

Dark Dates by Tracey Sinclair
won from author and Karina@Nocturnal Book Reviews

Concerning my book addict confession from last week where I proclaimed I wasn't going to buy any more books until I got a handle on my personal TBR pile....
I HAD AN EPIC SET BACK!!!!
(personally I blame some of my fellow bloggers and their awesome reviews, well except for Seawitch I've been waiting all year for that one! )
Books Purchased:

Ah, if that's the case then I have plenty to read, lol. I'll make sure to sign up soon :)

I'm thinking of joining your readathon but I don't own any of Frater's books and I'm not sure how many "bump in the night books I have". I try to mix it up between Kindle and actual copies during readathons so I don't feel as rushed, so I'm going to have to see what all I have. That gift card thing is pretty cool, I've never seen one of those before.
I hope you have a good week and enjoy your books!

I loved Gone Girl -- I'm huge fan of Gillian Flynn. Curious to hear your thoughts on Skylark. I want to read it. And I did well on the book buying -- nothing this week :)

Hugs! I am so sorry about your pet. Losing a furry friend is so hard. I am seriously seriously trying to get a hold of that TBR pile! I hope you read Gone Girl! That book is head trip! The King's Agent is gorgeous! I will sign up for Fraterfest as my TBR needs all the help it can get but I am not great at readthons with the kids! Hope this is a better week for you!

Great books! I totally understand about the book buying ban stuff ... my mailbox post'll go up in a few hours and I talk about the same thing! It seems I'm always saying I won't buy books, then I (of course) buy more books. It's a habit.

Enjoy all your reading! :) Looking forward to Frater-fest!

Mwuahahaha. Foolish woman, thinking you could avoid the lure of spending on your TBR pile. I've tried, I'm a weak woman and I can admit it. I'm going to be over here with my bathrobe still on, coffee in hand waiting on your Innocent Darkness review, you know, right? lol I can't wait to read it!

Haven't got a clue how to do it, but if you still need challenge hostesses for Fraterfest, I'm up for it. I should have emailed you when I signed up but I apparently had brain freeze. No smart comments about nothing new from the peanut gallery. :D

I'm so sorry you lost a little furry baby :( Was your pet a dog or kitty? What was his/her name? When my Lucky had to go to kitty heaven early due to severe kidney failure I was a wreck! I chased the vet to kiss and hug her again. I hope our pets are playing together right now sharing stories of how we spoiled them rotten <3

Our furry baby was my daughter's rat Melody..now i know..a rat?? which is exactly what i thought almost 4 yrs ago, but she was sweet and looked just like a hamster..um except for the tail. She would sit on my daughter's shoulder, kiss you and eat fruit loops in the cutest way possible ..think Stuart Little. My daughter was a wreck, and I was a wreck because the one time my daughter cried fix her mommy..i couldn't.
