The Sunday Post #65~sharing blog news and book haul
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. This week we reached 400,000 visits, thank you all for that! I am moving the blog this week to self-host and I am both nervous and excited. I have hired Carmel @Rabid Reads to move me. I am somewhat confident after reading about the move, that I could do this on my own..but for those of you who don't know me, I am anal, and if something isn't right I panic. So having an expert just makes me feel more confident that everything will transition smoothly and will keep my blood pressure in check. How does this impact you? Since I already own my own domain, the site will automatically come up once the move is done. For those of you following via GFC, please follow by email or bloglovin'. There may be a slight change in the schedule mid-week depending on when we do this and my commenting system may change to allow for your links. Have an awesome week!
Last week on the blog we brought you

- Cursed Embrace by Cecy Robson (review)

Good luck with the move! I have you on bloglovin' so I shouldn't have a problem finding you. :)
Congratulations on the 400,000 page views Kimberly! I'm so happy for you and it's awesome that you're going to self host. I thought about it but lordy I'm just far too paranoid that something would go wrong. Sorry I haven't been stopping by the last couple of weeks! I hope you enjoy all your new reads!
Wow! That's so exciting that you've had 400,000 visitors and that you're moving your blog to a self-host. Congratulations! I hope it goes smoothly.
I am with you. If there is a problem, I panic. Best of luck with the transition. I hope that everything goes smoothly and you like your new location.
A couple of your books look extra spooky. This is the time of year that I start thinking about storing up that sort of read for the fall time, so I will have to check those out.
Good luck with your move! I hope everything goes smoothly.
Ahh! You got The Outside! I'm so jealous right now! I've been wanting to read that book forever now! :)
I also got The Uninvited and Panic the week before. They both sound fabulous and I can't wait to read them.
Good luck moving to WP and have a great week ahead!
A lot of really pretty book covers this week. I really love uninvited's cover.
Happy Sunday!
Becky
I needs ta get my hands on that there Outside book. Mmmhmm. Yay for the move!
Good luck with the move! Can I ask why you are switching? I have been considering it lately too but am undecided.
My heart beat a little faster when I saw Panic. I wasn't aware this book was on the way! Immediately jumped on to GR to check it out. Sounds great!
Enjoy your haul :)
While I am still not sure...but happy move :D I think if I had my own domain then I would totalyl go for it too
Good luck with the move and congrats on all of the views! 400k is such a huge number! I hope you enjoy your week and your new books!
Congrats on the page views and good luck with the move - I would have to pay someone to do it too, I could probably figure it out but I'd be too scared!
The Outside! I'm so excited for that one, I loved The Hallowed Ones!
Enjoy :-D
Congratulations on the hits!
That's an awesome number Kimba! Congrats x
You have received some fabulous books! I am especially excited about Uninvited (it was my WoW last week ;) ) and Panic so I can't wait to see what you think of them.
I have been thinking about moving my blog as well but I am clueless about what to do so I hope your transition goes smoothly.
Have a great week & happy reading! :)
Wow! 400K is awesome! Congrats. And congrats on the move. I'd be a basket case. lol
This is my first time linking to the Sunday Post. Actually, it's my first meme, period. I hope I've done it correctly. I worry about these things. :D
Good luck with the move! Congrats on the awesome stats, too.
You have some awesome books to distract you from the move - I get anxious about backend maintenance, so I am fortunate that my brother helps when I have a problem. I'm sure your move will go without a hitch.
Happy Sunday! x
Great week, Kimba! Congratulations and good luck with the blog move! I like the idea of hiring someone to make sure the move goes smoothly. Have a great week and enjoy those yummy-looking new books!
Good luck with the move! I would definitely be hiring someone, too - no matter how confident I fell, I could just picture a huge bloggy mess ahead of me if I didn't.
I loved How to Woo the Reluctant Lady!! I can't wait to get a little review break so I can jump back into that series! Great haul!!
Ooh nice! Curious for your review of the Uninvited! I still remain a little undecided on that one! Loved the Jack Dandy novella! It was a quick read but I loved being inside Jack's head! Happy Reading!
Here's my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
YAY on the move! I just went to self hosting too! It went pretty smooth but I am still figuring a few things out (like commenting.. :?) Hope everyone goes well!
Awesome haul this week. The Uninvited looks good! I love that cover. Have a great week
Panic looks great, hope you enjoy. Good luck on the move!
Nice haul. I see lots of things that I want. Great haul Kimba. I'm now here:
http://gracebooksoflove.com
Great haul! I like the look of How Green This Land, How Blue This Sea. Good luck with the move...I'm interested in knowing how it goes...the pros and cons of self-hosting, etc. Have a good week!
I have Panic and Uninvited on my wishlist c: I hope they're good reads! Good luck with the move, I'm deciding whether to move too or not..
My haul
Lauren
Congrats on moving to a self-hosted site. That's pretty awesome. Both the Sophie Jordan and the Lauren Oliver book you got have sparked my attention. I've read some of their other stuff and must add these to the TBR list! Great week!
Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
Good luck with your move Kimba! I'd have to have someone help me too, I'd be too freaked out that I'd mess something up.
Good luck with the move! I, too, am kind of "anal," so I can relate to your wanting help with it.
I like the look of The Outside...and someday, I really must read something by Lauren Oliver. Enjoy your week!
Great book haul. I look forward to your reviews. I see so many people switching to Word Press. It kind of makes me nervous, but I would have to have someone help me for sure. Can you keep your same template? I messed something up this week on my computer and accidentally deleted all my pictures and most of them disappeared from my blog also. It is taking forever adding them back, so far I have July done, but I don't know if I will ever get the other's back up. Have a great week.
Ooo, some new books to author names I recognize. :) Sounds like a great week last week and to come. :) Hope you enjoy!
Panic looks fantastic! Great haul. Uninvited looks brilliant too. And congratulations on the 400 000 visits!
Looks like a great week of books! I haven't read anything yet by Lauren Oliver...isn't she the Delirium author? Panic sounds intriguing though.
So lucky that you got Panic! I love everything by Lauren Oliver and am really looking forward to that one.
I went through a migration from blogger to wordpress with my running blog and know how paranoid it can make you. Sounds like you are in good hands,
OMG, I cannot wait for The Outside! I got denied on Netgalley, so I must wait even longer!
I didn't realize Lauren Oliver had a new book; I must go check it out! :D
Here's Mine @ Pinkindle Reads & Reviews
Great books this week. Hope the blog move goes well. I bought my own domain this week and about drove myself crazy trying to set it up but finally got it. Have a great week.
Good luck with the move. Hearing all the horror stories about so many bloggers having to make the change, I'm happy I've always had self-hosted websites. Awesome haul, Kim! Have a great week.
You had a great week and it looks like another ahead :) Happy Reading!!
I hope the move goes well!!
I am super excited for you that you got The Outside, I can't wait to read that one too!
Good luck with the move...I'm in the middle of one myself and it is super stressful...especially if you are anal! lol Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Good luck with the move! I've been contemplating moving my blog as well. So many decisions to make when considering it: Stick with blogger, move to WP, will everything transfer, etc. I've finally figured out how to do things on blogger and now, to move...gah! The whole thing terrifies me! I think I'll have to hire someone because the stress of it all would do me in. :)
Enjoy your books and hope you have a fantastic week!
Good luck with the move. I love the haul to got this week. I can't wait for The outside! Enjoy...
I am glad to hear you are making the move, better safe than sorry! Yeah for The Outside, I had to resist jumping in and reading it right after finishing The Hallowed Ones, I plan on getting to it before it comes up in October! Hope you have a great week!
Good luck making the switch! I'm so brand new that I'm terrified to consider it, but also keep thinking that it would be easier now than later, when I've got a lot more content. I definitely don't blame you for hiring someone, it will give you so much more peace of mind.
Panic!! I'm so envious. I really want to read that! Good luck with the move! I'm sure it will go well.
Oh wow! Congrats Kimba that is just awesome!!! I think I'm really going to have to hop on this blog lovin' train! Can't wait to see everything up and running! Good luck!
Oh you got Panic?! I'll read anything and everything by her, I hope it's great!
I hope your moves goes well. Since I've been contemplating the move I will be watching/listening closely to hear how smooth it went. I would hire someone too, no way am I doing it myself!
Only few weeks ago one man here returned the book to the library after 15 years but he didn't pay fees. But library here is not strict when it comes to that. Anyhow that Vamps vs Zombies thing sounds great. I must join! :)
I love How to Woo a Reluctant Lady! Glad you enjoyed it too. I'm also lovin' your haul! The covers are so pretty! I can't want for Panic, I really enjoy Lauren Oliver's writing style (: Happy readings!
A new Sophie Jordan book? I'm sold! What a pretty cover :).
I loved the summary for Uninvited, sounds really different and I already request only have to wait and see. You got some great books this week. Happy Reading!
Oh wow, good luck with the move to being self hosted! :-D Hope it all goes smoothly, but I'm sure it will. Hehe, you seem to have a 'blowing hair' theme going on with your book covers this week. They do look really good, hope you enjoy them. And have a lovely week! :-)
Great haul this week! Hope everything goes well with your move :)
Great book haul! I loved Savor You and have heard The Outside is really good. Enjoy!
Good luck on the WP move! You'll love the added flexibility, it just might take a tiny bit getting used to, but I'm confident you'll pick it up in seconds.
I'm super jealous you have Uninvited! Sophie told me about it herself and I've wanted it ever since!
Also, I can't believe you got the new Lauren Oliver book! So lucky! Did you notice they used the same font on the cover as the Delirium series? LOL
I am seriously contemplating the move to WP, I'm just not sure which host to go through, and then of course, actually convincing myself to spend the money for that hosting. I am torn between Go Daddy and Bluehost. Which one are you using?
Congrats on 400,000 visits and good luck with the move!
I can't wait to read Panic and the Univited....the Outside looks good as well. Enjoy!
Oh wow you received some very awesome books this week!! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them. Good luck with your move.
oops I meant the Uninvited and I also got Panic as well. I also noticed a lot of people thinking about moving over....I'm not sure what I want to do but I think this is a smart move considering google keeps messing things up.
thanks Kristen, I am excited and nervous but Carmel is all cool and relaxed!
haha, there is an edit button on Discus so you can fix spelling and typos. Thanks Cricket!
thanks Greg, appreciate it.
I chose Go Daddy after talking to several peeps, and some computer geeks.
Ha, they did! Thanks for the well wishes:)
I am excited about both, I loved The Hollowed Ones..eep!
thanks Nyx appreciate it:)
OMG you are right about the hair theme!!
Uninvited and Panic look really good! I just saw Uninvited the other day on Edelweiss and added it to my wishlist. The Dark Discovery of Jack Dandy looks interesting, I hadn't realized there was a short story about him.. although truth be told, I've become sort of meh-ish on that series for some reason. The Girl in the Clockwork Collar wasn't as good as I had hoped but I do have the next one to read, I just need to read it - and hopefully it sucks me in. :D
thanks Mariana I am excited to read Uninvited!
I have never been so happy to be self hosted as when I read the stuff about google and blogger. But I'm also very lucky because my hubby is a techie. I think he'd have gacked if I'd hinted at doing anything else. ;) So he fixes stuff when I panic. It's all good.
Marlene @ Reading Reality
I agree Jessica, have a wonderful week!
Ooh you are just as excited as me, thanks Cyn!
this was mailed in with a letter. Yes Vamps vs Zombies just a few of my favorite things!

thanks Elizabeth!
thanks Emz I am so glad you enjoy them:)
thanks Sharon, hopefully none of you will even realize it is happening:)
Great week! I read Losing Hope last week and loved it! Congrats on $400,000 hits!
I'm loving the cover for The Outside. Living for so long in rural PA and being stuck driving behind one too many Amish buggies, fiction about the Amish community never looked remotely appealing to me. But this series sounds like something I would really like!
Congrats on 400k! That is incredible Kim! I'm not surprised though, your blog is fantastic and always has something interesting to read.
I agree, I loved it as well:)
I was born and raised in New Jersey not fair from Lancaster and we visited the area a lot, book one was awesome The Hallowed Ones and I cannot wait to devour this one:)
Looks like you've picked up some beauties this week!!
Oooh.... making the switch!! How exciting!! Are you having a bit of a makeover too, or staying the same?
changing themes, so it should be very interesting:)
So my heart might have stopped a little when I saw Panic. LOVE Lauren Oliver
