Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O. Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O. Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick… In her third novel, Alice Clayton returns to dish her trademark mix of silly and steamy. Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

I picked up Wallbanger after a few bloggers I adore recommended it and decided foolishly to read just a few chapters on Tuesday evening around 11:30 pm. I downloaded this onto my Smartphone, snuggled in next to my hubby and began to read. As he snored I laughed, giggled into my pillow, and read chapter after chapter with a smile on my face. When I finally set this down it was 2:19 am and I had literally consumed the whole thing. Clayton delivered fleshed out, lovable characters and some of the funniest moments. It was smexy, silly, endearing and I abso-friggin-lute-ly loved it!!!

The tale begins when we meet twenty-six year old Caroline Reynolds. She has just moved into a new apartment in San Francisco. She is a successful interior designer, and baker who is currently single. Ever since a one-night stand with a pizza guy, her O has been missing. Yes, she refers to that earth shattering release as her O. Everything is perfect, except for the fact that she hasn’t had an O and isn’t getting any sleep thanks to her neighbor. His oversexed lifestyle is interfering with her sleep, because every night she is awaken to wall-banging. Apparently the walls are thin, because she and Clive (her cat) are privy to spanks, sighs and purrs. One night when things get way out of hand, she goes stomping next door clad in pink-baby doll pajamas to confront her neighbor. Simon Parker answers the door and the tale that unfolds is hilarious, sweet, hot and totally romantic.

This is definitely a character driven tale and I loved the characters Clayton created. Caroline is successful, confident and knows what she wants. She has a strong network of friends and loved how confident they all were. Simon Parker. *swoons*  He is a successful photographer that travels all over the world to exotic places, he treats woman well and has a great group of friends. Have you ever met a guy who just oozed smexy, from six-pack abs to that yummy V shape below his navel? *fans self* The kind of guy who makes jeans and a t-shirt look illegal and doesn’t even try?Simon is all that and more!!! I adored Simon, and the funny thing is, he isn’t really a bad-boy. The banter and slow building romance between him and Caroline was delightful, filled with some of the best humor that had me laughing and crying. Their friends are hilarious and I loved all the interaction. *car scene is epic* Clive the cat..I want this cat. He totally rocks and the way Clayton portrayed him had me giggling.

What I loved about this tale, was that it felt genuine. The characters felt real, and handled things the way most of us would. The characters weren’t hopping in and out of bed. The romance developed out of friendship and respect. I loved the sexual tension, the tender moments and getting inside Caroline’s warped, humorous mind. Clayton wrapped the story in humor and I literally had tears in my eyes. The hot moments melted my phone *nods head* and were beautifully done. What I loved most was Clayton’s humor. From the texting between characters and trips inside the characters minds  I almost suffocated trying to laugh into my pillow without waking my hubby. From the baking scenes to the tears I loved every wonderful moment of this tale and could find no fault with it.

Fans of sweet, hot, humorous contemporary romances need to add Wallbanger to their list. If you loved the character Charlie Davidson from First Grave on the Left you will adore Carolyn. Alice Clayton is going on my must buy list and I have already picked up The Unidentified Redhead and The Redhead Revealed. My advice grab some wine, dark chocolate and Wallbanger and settle in for a delightful evening.
