The Sunday Post ~sharing blog news and book haul
The Sunday Post ~ 16th Edition
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.Summer is slowly winding down and I have been busy enjoying these last few lazy days. My youngest begins her last year of high school on the fifteen and with it, we take another step towards an empty nest. While I am excited to watch my children spread their wings and leave home, it has also left me feeling a little blue about my dwindling roll in their lives. Thankfully, this blog and all of you keep me busy!
Last week on the blog I shared:
- Burn by Heath Gibson (review)
- Innocent Darkness by Suzanne Lazear (review)
- Waiting on Wednesday- 2 delightful titles
- Skylark by Meagan Spooner (review)

- Candid by Michelle Pennington (excerpt)
- Summer Wrap up Read-a-thon (update and stats)
- Review Copy Clean Up (updates)

I'm glad you received your book; I was impressed with how quickly they arrived.
Is your 15 year old excited? I can only guess what it must be like for you to have your kids leave but they do come back. :) and they are always your babies.
I'm almost glad the Summer is coming to an end, the weather has been so hot that I need a little Autumn chill. I usually love Summer but this year was just too hot. I almost requested Tab but my review pile is getting way too big so I'm having to step back a bit, even though it's killing me. I'll be looking forward to your reviews next week!
Wow! Almost an empty nest...here I am almost forty and a two and four year old...I need more energy. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Beautiful Disaster that is a book that seems to be love it or hate it. I was admiring that cover for The Emperor's Conspiracy when I put it in a Friday Forecast. I still need to try a Macomber book! Yeah congrats on a year of blogging!
Aww Kimba, I feel for you. I have my youngst starting kindergarten after our Christmas holidays and I am petrified so I don't know how I'll be when they hit senior high & eventually leave me :(
Anyway ;) you picked up some great books, I'll have to head back to Netgalley to see if Tab Bennett is still available.. Looking forward to your reviews this week..

I was just scouring NetGalley again (after eons away) and I actually grabbed Tab Bennett b/c it sounded pretty good (of course I saw on GR that you and Lisa had added it, tee, hee). And somewhere I saw Emperor's Conspiracy but I forget where!!! Oh, I missed hearing about new books! You got a nice batch this week! It may keep you busy for a day or two :)
Have a great week, girlie!!
Thanks Diana..enjoy every moment it passes all too quickly, although I will say somehow we were all ready for the transition and I its a different kind of wonderful place we are at.
Me too :) Thanks Danielle.
Oooh! I can't wait to see what you think of Wild Ones! It's on my wish list :).

I hope to sneak it in this month :)
Hugs to you on nearing that empty nest. My "baby" is starting 8th grade this year, and, while I'm happy I have a few more years before college, I'm already beginning to dread facing her absence. Happy Anniversary, and thanks for sharing your great haul with us! <3
Thanks Cheles :) Enjoy it, time really does fly :(
<3 book buddies:)

Senior year, that's exciting. I hope she does great and enjoys this last year of high school.

It's amazing how time can fly...and how lives can change and shift in the blink of an eye...
Love teh cover for the Jess Young book...and I didn't know there were more East Salem books....not that I was in love with Waking Hours...
I enjoyed Waking Hours but hope book two delivers more.
OOh nice! I was actually debating about requesting Young's book! It sounds awesome, but I want to knock out some TBR books before trying out new ones!
Here's my STS
