A descendant of the Angel of Vengeance, Nate da Luca was gifted with an uncanny ability to find things. It made his job as a detective a breeze—until he learned the hard way that some things should remain hidden. After that, his powers vanished, along with his belief in himself. Which is going to make tracking down Gabriella Littlefield for his latest client a challenge. Personal trainer Ella Little paid a hefty price for her life—now all she wants is to live it in peace. Then a sexy hulk of a man turns up in her gym, reigniting desires she thought she'd left behind along with her real name and hair color. Desires she can't deny even after she discovers Nate's no stranger to her dark past. Before he can convince her the attraction is mutual, Nate's going to have to earn Ella's trust. But a demon is playing for keeps in the world of humans, using Ella as bait, and the last thing they have is time.
Wounded Angel the third installment in the Earth Angels series introduced us to Nate da Luca; a descendant of the the Angel of Vengeance. As a half-human angel his abilities make him a natural as a police detective. He can find anything he is looking for, but when his last case goes wrong and his powers fizzled he retires and starts his own private investigator firm. He is in Chicago looking for Gabriella Littelfield and something is hunting him. Each book in the Earth Angels series features a new angel their love interest and its all wrapped up in an action-packed mystery/case. I loved Nate, he is a well-toned, smexy, kind-hearted, swoon-worthy man who is deeply scarred by events from his past. Gabriella now known as Ella has done everything to put the horrors of her past behind her and for the first time in years she feels an unexpected attraction to a man. Ella is such a strong woman and her story survivor story is exceptional. The tale that unfolds was suspenseful and I loved how it tied into the overall ARC of this series. We learn more about the demons as the angels communicate with each other through a website and I loved the interaction between Nate and the previous characters. The relationship that developed between Nate and Ella was filled with sexual tension, denial and a sweetness that felt genuine. I laughed at some of their banter and loved the way they gave each other strength. While the tale was predictable I found myself turning the pages to see how it all worked out. This series is such a fun escape and each time I open a new book in the series I am rewarded. Fans of romantic suspense with a paranormal twist will adore this series.

My review of Revenge is Sweet #1 & Sweet Chaos #2

Armageddon is coming and it’s up to me to stop the Four Horsemen and their heavenly army of angels. Unfortunately, one of the Horsemen happens to be my rock star boyfriend, Radison Beaumont. At least that’s what his ex-fiancée, Parker Burkett, claims. Parker wants revenge on me for stealing Rad and she’s working with my archenemy, Queen Maria, a succubus who wants me back in her court of supernaturals. The only way I can stop them and the coming biblical apocalypse is to recruit an army – an army led by the king of hell. Lucifer’s not about to help without getting something in return, and following anyone’s orders – even his – is not my style. I’m turning my inner demon loose on Parker, Maria, and the Horsemen – and saving the humans I love at the same time. But what price will I pay for dealing with the devil? Going to the dark side has never been so sweet.
Wow, Misty Evans brought us the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Sweet Soldier the third installment in the Kali Sweet series and the action was not stop intense. Kali is up to her neck in chaos, her nemesis Queen Maria is back and so is Lucifer. We see growth in Kali especially in the romance department and I loved her little chat with Di. Rad is back and hotter than ever but he is one of the horsemen and Kali needs to decide if she can kill the man she loves. I love all the banter between the characters and Kali is such a snarky kicking-ass!  There is a softer side of her emerging that I loved discovering even if it makes her want to barf. Evans delivers a wonderfully paced tale, and skillfully fleshing out characters that I have come to adore. She rips one of my favorites away from us and it broke my heart. I am excited about some changes coming up in the series and cannot wait to read the next installment. Fans of action-packed urban fantasy with kick-ass, fleshed out characters, and well developed world-building this series is for you!

Guest Post
Oscar Wilde once wrote: “The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it.”

So let’s play a little game. Finish this sentence: “Today, I’m craving…”

Knee-deep in winter, I’m craving dark chocolate (okay, I crave that all the time), warm blankets, and dark, paranormal stories featuring gutsy heroines and damaged heroes. I want them to be tempted beyond belief, to literally crave the other’s presence, and finally, against their better judgment, to give in with their whole heart and soul.

According to psychologists and other ‘experts’, women crave romance while men crave sex. A recent article in Psychology Today asserted that some men crave romance, too…they just don’t have a clue as to how we like out romance served (and it’s all about us, right?) Wine and roses? Opening doors? Compliments? Grand gestures or small, intimate ones? What is it, exactly, that women crave in romance?

In my urban fantasy, Revenge Is Sweet, the hero, Radison, wants to make amends for leaving Kali at the altar three hundred years ago. He’s still in love with her and he’s determined to prove it.

But how could he, I wondered while writing the story. How did a guy, demon or human, make up for such a heart-crushing faux pas and romance the woman he loves back into his life?

So I asked Kali what she craved…

Rad starts by showing up at Kali’s door every day with a hot cup of her favorite coffee. Yes, this is secretly one of my wildest fantasies. A rock star god showing up at my door with coffee. A box of chocolate would be good too.

Anyway, Rad befriends Kali’s friends. She doesn’t have many – and some are…ahem…unusual, but again, I find that’s a sexy quality in a guy.

When Rad discovers Kali’s been kidnapped, he helps her break free and kill the vampire king using her for her blood. A little Superman thrown in the mix. Of course, Rad’s more of the Batman type, but…

Kali’s no pushover and romancing her is a delicate operation. An operation Rad is up for as you can see in the following excerpt. Rad knows when to push and when to back off and let Kali’s craving for him be her undoing:

Our eyes met. Because he was my blood slave, I could see his bone-deep desire to take my blood shining in his eyes. I could feel his craving, as palpable as my own, coursing through me. His need called to my blood, his emotions entangling with mine, and my own desire kicked low in my stomach. My pulse jumped.
His hands slid under the cape at my shoulders, sliding the red garment down my arms and letting it linger around my waist to keep me close to him. I shuddered at his touch. At his too-close body and the need rolling off of it. The blood lust was evident on his face but so was pure old human desire. He wanted to kiss me. Wanted to wipe away my disgust with myself and my fear of facing the Council. Instead, he tossed my cape on the end of the couch and handed me the champagne…

And so their romance continues, rocky and dark and heart-breaking at times, but balanced out with a love so fierce, you have no doubt these two were meant to be together. Their romance is more blood and sacrifice than wine and roses, but in the end, they’ll find their happy ending.

So tell me, how did you finish the sentence? What do you crave? How do you like your romance? Comment and be entered to win a copy of Revenge Is Sweet, A Kali Sweet Urban Fantasy.

Sweet Chaos by Misty Evans

Sweet Chaos
by Misty Evan
Series: A Kali Sweet Urban Fantasy Story #2
Publication date: July 3, 2012
Genre: Adult Urban Fantasy
Purchase: Barnes and Noble/Amazon

*contains sexual content
Three hundred years later, the ghosts from her past are hunting for revenge.
The past always finds a way to bite you in the ass.
As a three-hundred-year old vengeance demon, I’ve made a lot of enemies. The worst was Queen Maria, the Italian Court’s most devious succubus and a ruler who used me as a weapon of mass destruction to inflict pain and kill hundreds of humans in her torture chambers.
Now she’s back, this time as a ghost, and she’s invited a new friend to the party—a vampire king who wants my head on a stake. Together they’re bringing a war to Chicago that will topple the carefully constructed world I’ve protected for centuries.
But I’m Kali Sweet. I never run from my past…and I’m not about to hide from my present
Sweet Chaos delivered non-stop action, danger, and kick-ass characters that kept me spellbound. If you have been following my blog you know about my infatuation with chaos demon Radison Beaumont. In fact I recently interviewed him. If you missed this hilarious post, you can check it out here. While each novel can be read as standalone, I highly recommend you read Revenge is Sweet first. You can see my review of it here.

Kali once again finds herself in the thick of things. She is a vengeance demon and Queen of the Undead. Toel a master vampire is unhappy with this and is working to raise an army. In the meantime she is hired by his brother’s to capture him. They want him alive so they can seek justice for their master’s death and make an example of him. While trying to capture a ghost on a side job, she gets more then she bargained for. It appears the ghost is Queen Maria. She was the Italian Court’s most terrifying ruler and succubus. That was until Kali killed her. The tale that unfolds as Kali tried to stop them is action packed, suspenseful, and delicious. I became completely caught up in the cases, the characters and of course Rad.

Evans characters are delicious, well fleshed out and kick-ass. Kali is one tough cookie. She is constantly trying to make amends for her past and protect the lives of humans. Despite being swept up in one crisis after another, she is focused, and a total kick-ass demon. I love how she interacts with her colleagues and friends.  Her snarky, quick-witted comments had me laughing aloud. While she hasn’t spoken the words for fear of breaking her heart; it’s obvious she adores and loves Rad. Radison wasn’t in the book nearly enough to satisfy moi. He is rakishly handsome, a swoon-worthy romantic and a total kick-ass chaos demon. Did I mention how handsome he is? Toel the evil vampire is totally gnarly dude and added to the suspense throughout the novel. Damon, leader of the Bridge Council, had me rolling in laughter. I still feel a smidgen of a love triangle and I hope Rad squashes him.( like a bug) I adored Maddy and the relationship that is developing between her and Kali. Cole, Kali’s partner and protector takes a lot of crap, but I’d trust my life with him. I am hoping we learn more about him.

Evans has created a unique, fascinating and humorous world. I love how things are developing in this series and look forward to watching it unfold. Her characters have depth and believability. The pace is fast, and she weaves together all of the plots brilliantly. Fans of the Hollows, Cats and Bones and the Mercy Thompson series should find this series to be just what the doctor ordered.

I highly recommend Sweet Chaos and the Kali Sweet Urban Fantasy series to fans of urban fantasy. Evans delivers lovable characters, suspense, action and paranormal elements that will delight you. Misty Evans is on my author’s to read list and I hope she is busy writing book three. (like now, seriously.)

I want to thank the author for providing this ARC in exchange for my unbiased review.

I gave this novel 4 coffee cups out of 5.

Interview with Chaos Demon Radison Beaumont

Today is a very special day on the blog! I am bringing you an exclusive interview with a smoking hot chaos demon from Misty Evan's urban fantasy series Kali Sweet. A few months ago I brought you a review of the first novel, Revenge is Sweet and you can read it here. I was captivated by Radison Beaumont, a rock-star chaos demon and wanted to share him with you. Enjoy and stick around to learn more about the next book, Sweet Chaos!!

First let me share the physical aspects of Rad and then we can invite him in for coffee, tea or...errr well let's check him out shall we.....

Radison Beaumont
Half-human Half-chaos demon
Rock-star
Single
Age: 300+ yrs
Height: 6'0
Weight: 190 lbs
Hair Color: dark brown
Eye Color: golden brown
Tattoo: Dagger between his shoulder blades

Isn't he dreamy? (Oh here he comes and he's, he's breathtaking....)

Me: Rad, you seem to have impressive cooking skills. Where did you learn how to cook?
Rad: I’ve been alive for 300 years. You pick up things, y’know? My cooking is actually a recent hobby - I’m addicted to Food Network. And I love to do things with my hands. Chopping, dicing, tossing…it’s all physical and creative. Very sexy.
Me: (swoons at image of Rad in my kitchen)

Me: Your band seems to be very popular. What if any bands influence you?
Rad: All rock music influences me. I’m not into Kali’s heavy metal stuff, but I know she uses that to drown out all the bad stuff in her head. Me, I listen to Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman, Creed, Alter Bridge and tons of other rock bands.
Me: (score-we like the same music)

Me: Name three things you admire about Kali.
Rad: Her goodness – she really does love humans and wants to protect them. Her tenacity – I’ve never met anyone as bullheaded as she is. And her snarky personality – even when the chips are down, she never lets it get to her.
Me: (pfft-like that's special)

Me: Which would you prefer for breakfast..eggs or cold pizza?
Rad: Cold pizza. And Kali to share it with.
Me: (Kali this and Kali that why can't he think of me, me, me)

Me:. If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go? Are you alone?(take me!)
Rad:: I would take Kali back to Rome, where it all started. She hasn’t been back since her parents were murdered, for good reason, but the city is so different now. So beautiful and rich with our past together. I think it’s time to lay the past to rest so we can start over for real and I’d love for our future to include a romantic visit to Rome.
Me:( smile, and act professional , keep evil thoughts about Kali to yourself...hmm maybe she could have an acc..focus)

Me: (breathes deeply) What is your sign?
Rad: Primal Chaos. Demons have different signs than humans. But the human half of me is a Scorpio.

Me: Describe yourself using three words.
Rad: Loyal. Creative. Chaotic.
Me: (also sexy, strong and yummy)

Me:. Boxers or Briefs?
Rad: Are those my only choices?
Me:( checks out his jeans, blushes and squirms in seat)
Rad:(lifts his eyebrow and says nothing, stares and waits for next question)

Me: Coffee or Tea?
Rad: Coffee, strong enough to take your head off.
Me: (we have so much in common..*sighs*)

Me:. Have you written anymore of the lyrics to the song you shared with Kali? Can you share a few lines with us?
Rad: In Sweet Chaos, readers will see I’ve switched up the lyrics a bit and added a second verse. The final song will be revealed in the third book. For those who can’t wait until that book comes out, you’ll find a special link at the end of Sweet Chaos that will take you to the full song on Misty’s website. Here’s part of the lyrics…

Listen to my music
Listen to my heart
Find the good within
What’s lost is keeping us apart

I finally found my way
No words of mine can ever say
How much I miss you…

After all this time
After all the wrongs
I still care

Listen to my music
Listen to its heart
Listen to the whisper
Hiding in the dark

Me: (omg-he is singing, he's beautiful , throws arms around Rad and tries to kiss him)
Rad: (stiffens and stops singing)
Me: Oh, I am sorry, I just wanted to thank you for being here today (smooths hair and shirt) and I guess I got a little carried away by your, err, um singing. (awkward) Yes, singing you are singer, err,  rock-star! (takes a few steps back)
Rad: It happens more than you think. Thanks for having me, maybe next time I should, I mean, I could bring Kali.
Me: That would be wonderful, I look forward to meeting her. (Not!) (waves to Rad as he leaves...omg look at his butt in those jeans..)

Sweet Chaos
by Misty Evans
Series: Kali Sweet #2
Publication date: July 2, 2012
Genre: Adult Urban Fantasy
I never run from my past…and I’m not about to hide from my present.
I will be bring you a full review later this month but here is an excerpt to wet your appetite:

“Kali.” Cole stepped to my right, his voice cutting through the heavy coating of power floating through the room.
I followed his gaze and my breath caught. There, on the stairs headed my way, golden eyes blazing directly at me, was a gorgeous specimen of male. Half-demon, half-human, Rad Beaumont looked like a fallen angel. A dance floor spotlight zoomed from a stripper humping a pole and followed Rad’s ascent up the stairs. Maybe it was the focused illumination, but he looked pale, and even the light on his face couldn’t bleach out the smudged shadows under his eyes.
At the sight of him, everything in me rejoiced, including my demon.
He took the stairs two at a time, and in his wake, chaos erupted. Glasses on the bar shattered, random objects flew through the air, chairs flipped over and people screamed and ran for the doors.
Chaos demons. Always the life of the party.
Because he was half-human and my blood slave, his stormy energy coursed through my body. Wild, unsettled and definitely volatile. And all of it directed at me.
Probably should have answered his texts.
I motioned my head at Cole and he went into full War demon mode, a hell and damnation doorstop intercepting Rad. Brianna looked startled and then her lust spiked, flooding the room with another layer of emotion as she stepped back and acceded the door to my bodyguard.
I extracted my hand from Dru’s, folded up the contract and stood. “Nice doing business with you, boys. I’ll be in touch.”
All five vamps rose, either because they were gentlemen or because the chaos below made them antsy. “We haven’t discussed your fee,” Stephen said.
“You’ll owe me one.”
Stephen didn’t look happy about the arrangement, but at that moment, Rad crashed through the door, chaos following him.
I touched my ring fingers to my thumbs. Too late, my defenses weren’t sufficiently raised when his energy hit me like an ocean wave. The scent of a briny storm filled my nostrils as air swirled in the room. The invisible wave sucked me under, making me stagger and gasp for oxygen.
Dru grabbed me to stop my fall. Cole stood his ground and Rad hit him like a hurricane. The two tousled, the vamps looking on with something between amusement and scorn. Maybe a touch of concern. I was the vamp queen, after all, and Rad was obviously a threat.
“Let me at her,” Rad said, shoving Cole back a few feet.
Cole lunged and punched him solidly in the stomach. Rad “harrumphed” but didn’t so much as bend over. The chairs the vamps had been sitting in careened wildly across the floor, smacking into the plexiglass. One flew at Cole’s head. He ducked and it skimmed his hair.
Though most of the crowd had vanished, a few brave stragglers cowered around the bar below to watch the unfolding drama. The glittering witch was one of them. All that glitter combined with the waves of chaos and vamp power made my vision blurry. For a split-second, her features faded out and new features formed under a ghostlike mist. The new face was familiar. I gasped, my heart stuttering for a second.
She looked like Queen Maria. The female succubus who’d practically raised me in the Italian court. The woman who’d turned me into a sadist.
Dru’s fingers dug into my upper arm. “Kali? What is it?”
I shook my head, blinked my eyes. When I looked again, Maria was gone and the redheaded witch was back.
Drawing a deep breath to steady my overworked nerves, I withdrew from Dru’s grasp and pulled myself together. “Let him through,” I said to Cole. Then I motioned at Brianna. “Blinds.”
A flick of her fingers at the window control panel on the wall and a coppery-brown film slowly rolled down the plexiglass creating a two-way mirrored effect. We could see the club. Those below, however, saw their reflections.
“Are you crazy?”  Cole stopped a punch Rad threw at his face and I heard bones break. “Guitar Boy’s out of control.”
Exactly. And I was the only one who could give him back that control. I wasn’t sure why he was so angry, why he needed to drink again so soon, but I had to find out.
Dru’s protective energy had revived me. I touched my fingers and thumbs together and raised my magic. A cool blue light engulfed me and my senses cleared. I took a deep breath. “I can take him.”
Across the room, Rad’s gaze snapped to mine and held. There was more desperation than anger in his eyes. Why? Was he that hungry? Usually when he needed to feed, he lost his strength, not dissolved into a chaotic mess.
Losing control of his demon side, breaking into my meeting with the vamps and calling attention to our relationship was dangerous for both of us. Dangerous and completely unacceptable. “Control yourself, slave.”
The nasty moniker got him. Or maybe it was the look in my eyes. His jaw tightened, but he did as commanded. The chairs righted themselves. The breeze he’d created died.
Everyone’s focus turned to me. “If you’ll excuse us,” I said to Dru and the vamps.
Dru gave my arm a slight squeeze. “You’re sure?”
Another of those sharp pains hit my stomach but I gritted my teeth and held still until it passed. Unable to speak, I simply gave him a curt nod.
The vamps filed out past Rad, Cole keeping his body planted between us. Brianna was the last to leave, giving Cole a meaningful glance over her shoulder. “See you tomorrow night,” she said, her focus doing a direct and open appraisal.
He didn’t respond, but once again, I sensed the tension in his muscles ratcheting up. As soon as the door shut behind the vamps, Cole gave Rad a solid push against it. I had to give Rad credit for not fighting back. The two demons stood there, breathing heavy and staring each other down.
“Do that kind of shit again, Guitar Boy, and I’ll rip your head off, regardless of what Kali says.”
Cole might as well have said the Cubs were the best baseball team to ever take the field. Rad laughed, no more intimidated by Cole than a mongoose facing down a cobra. “Any time you want to try…”
Cole made to hit him. “Don’t,” I said. He dropped his fist, shook his head and moved aside.
I wanted to go to Rad, touch him. Instead I stood my ground. “Why are you here?”
His voice shook. “I need to feed.”
“So soon?”
All he did was nod, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed. There was pain in his eyes and deep privation.
The cells in my body did a little dance. They knew that look and responded to it like a dog to the scent of a juicy bone. But I stopped myself from stepping toward him. “You cannot interrupt my business dealings and make a spectacle of our relationship in public. Next time, go to Chloe and get a damn bottle of blood to hold you over.”
He stalked toward me, the pain look morphing into something more animalistic. “I don’t drink from the bottle.”
It took all my willpower not to step back. With one hand, he sent the table between us sliding out of the way. With the other, he grabbed me and yanked me to him. His body was hard and hot and demanding, his emotions and chaotic magic swirling around both of us.
My cool blue light struggled to stay intact. At the same time, my inner demon struggled to free herself from the leash I had on her. She wanted Rad with a —dare I say it?—vengeance and she urged my blood and my inherent magic to lose control just like he’d done.
I held my breath as Rad lowered his lips within an inch of mine. “Feed me, Kali,” he whispered against my lips.
Damaged demon that I was, I didn’t say no.

Eep! Does Radison sound yummy?
This is an awesome urban fantasy and I hope you will check it out!

Revenge is Sweet (A Kali Sweet Series #1) by Misty Evans

Payback is a bitch and her name is Kali Sweet...
I'm Kali Sweet, the best damn vengeance demon on Earth. I work for the supernatural world's Justice Department and protect innocent humans from otherworldly creatures like me. While I can't take revenge for myself, I make sure justice is done for others. But when my latest run-in with Chicago's vampire king backfires, the fallout leaves me with three big problems: a powerful Undead enemy who wants my head, my boss looking over my shoulder, and three personal blood slaves jeopardizing my reputation. One of those slaves happens to be sexy rock star Radison Beaumont - the half-human, half-chaos demon who left me at the altar three hundred years ago. Even if he does need my blood now to survive, Rad and I will always be enemies.  Especially since he's joined an ancient society of demon killers--and I'm the number one demon on their most wanted list.(synopsis from Barnes and Noble)

Revenge is Sweet is the first novel in the urban fantasy series Kali Sweet by award winning author Misty Evans.  This adult-fiction offers an urban fantasy set in the windy city of Chicago. Filled with demons, vampires, witches and angels this fast-paced action packed novel keep me on the edge of my seat.

The protagonist is Kali Sweet. She is a kick-ass demon who works for the Bridge Council. They are responsible for keeping supernatural creatures in check and protecting innocent humans.  I absolutely adore Kali. She is tough, smart and incredibly resourceful.  She fights danger head on, but does everything in her power to protect life.  She has been around, some of her back history involves the year 1920. She has surrounded herself with a great group of friends and I liked all the individual characters. The men around her, all seem to be protective of her. They respect her and are probably a little in love with this snarky little warrior. While she is bound from seeking revenge for herself, she can seek it for others and her skill set is exceptional.  Her feisty attitude and sensitive heart make her a powerhouse in the butt-kicking department. Throughout the novel, Evans hints of untapped powers and that Kali is very unique.  I am very excited to see her growth in upcoming novels.  In the relationship department, it is very obvious (though she would flat out deny it) that her heart belongs and always will to the man who broke it approx. 300 years ago…. Radison Beaumont.  Rad is a half-demon and hasn’t seen Kali in almost 300 years. From the beginning it is apparent that he still loves Kali, that he is suffering from some kind of guilt and that what Kali thinks occurred back in 1920, isn’t the full story. I fell in love with this sexy, romantic chaos demon and cannot wait to watch more of their story unfold.

In this tale, Kali’s job for the council gets her in trouble when she has a run in with the Chicago vampire leader. She ends up taking him out and finds herself with three blood slaves…one of them is Rad. The tale that unfolds, finds her in danger, as a witch hires her to do an impossible task. This witch has escaped from Hell and failing could mean Kali’s death.  The council is making demands and everyone wants her dead. With her partner Cole and her friends help, she is determined to set things right.  Rad, despite her protests, stays close by her side.  Oddly he ends up helping a lot and the more she listens to him, the more she wonders about the events causing their break-up. I consumed this in a few hours and loved every minute of it. My only complaint was the abrupt ending. I didn’t see it coming and it left me unsatisfied and wanting more. It wasn’t a cliffhanger but it left me with enough teasers that I truly wanted to scream.LOL

Evans creates a world that had my heart skipping. Her tale is tightly woven and its clear she knows this world and its characters intimately. I liked the hierarchy of the vampire world. The characters that run the different districts were delightfully entertaining. The corruption reminded me of the mob as everyone shuffles for more power. The Bridge council and its leader intrigued me. They ask Kali to do something unusual, and I cannot help but wonder what their ulterior motive is. They claim it’s for the good of all...but I have a niggling feeling they know more about who and what Kali really is then she does.  The characters had depth and I loved their back history.  Even the minor characters were unique and I felt invested in them. We briefly meet a few interesting angels and witches. I am excited to see if they will play a more integral role in the series. Evans portrayal of two very well known angels had me grinning from ear to ear. The chemistry between Rad and Kali was intense and their raw emotions seemed to rise up from the pages and engulf me.  While this is mainstream fiction, there were some hot and steamy scenes.(mostly implied)  Evans did a great job of making their relationship and the tension believable. I felt for both of them and got swept up in their tale.

I highly recommend Revenge is Sweet to fans of urban fantasy. Fans of the Hollow series should find this series delightful.  Currently, Revenge is Sweet is only available as an eBook but a print version is on its way. Misty Evans has over sixteen published works including her award winning, Super Agents series.  I am looking forward to the next book, Sweet Chaos
